Copyright Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Vidsera takes copyright seriously. This page explains our position on copyright, how the Service works, and the rights and responsibilities of all parties.
1. Vidsera Does Not Host Content
Vidsera is a URL-processing tool. We do not upload, store, host, transmit, or distribute video or audio content. When a user submits a URL, the Service communicates with the relevant third-party platform and facilitates the transfer of that platform's publicly accessible stream directly to the user's device. No media file is retained by Vidsera.
Because Vidsera does not host content, traditional "take down the infringing file" notices are not applicable in the same way they are for hosting platforms. However, if you believe the Service is being used to infringe your copyright, please use the process described below.
2. User Responsibility
Our Terms of Service explicitly state that:
- Users may only download content they own or have the legal right to download.
- Users are solely responsible for compliance with copyright law and the terms of the originating platform.
- Commercial redistribution of third-party copyrighted content without authorisation is prohibited.
We enforce these terms and will suspend or terminate accounts that are found to be systematically used to infringe copyright.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or authorised representative and you believe that the Vidsera Service facilitates infringement of your work, please submit a notice to our DMCA agent. Full instructions, including the required elements of a valid notice, are provided on our DMCA Policy page.
DMCA Agent: [email protected]
We respond to all valid notices within 24 hours on business days.
4. Counter-Notice Rights
If you believe that a feature or capability was disabled in response to a DMCA notice that was submitted in error or based on a misidentification, you have the right to submit a counter-notification. Please review our DMCA Policy for the required elements of a counter-notice and instructions on how to submit one.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g), after receiving a valid counter-notice we will notify the original complainant and, absent a court order, restore the functionality within 10–14 business days.
5. Vidsera's Own Intellectual Property
The Vidsera name, logo, website design, and source code are the intellectual property of their respective owners. Unauthorised reproduction, modification, or distribution of Vidsera's own materials is prohibited.
We do not claim any ownership over media files processed through the Service. Copyright in downloaded content belongs to the respective content creators and rights holders.
6. Third-Party Platform Terms
Downloading content from third-party platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram may violate those platforms' own terms of service, even if the content is not protected by copyright or the downloader holds a valid licence. Vidsera is not responsible for any consequences arising from users violating third-party platform policies. It is your responsibility to review the applicable platform terms before downloading.
7. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and our commitment to copyright compliance, Vidsera maintains a repeat infringer policy. Users whose accounts are repeatedly associated with copyright infringement will have their accounts permanently terminated. This applies equally to free and VIP users.
